Fabrizio Romano, a football transfer analyst, confirmed this on Wednesday night.
Romano said on X: “Karim Benzema has returned to Real Madrid’s training ground Valdebebas to undergo additional tests and receive assistance with injury treatment.
Al Ittihad confirm they’re grateful to Real Madrid for their help in managing Benzema’s injury.”
Benzema only left Real to join Al Ittihad last summer as a free agent.
The Saudi Arabian club is expecting the Frenchman to be fit for their final five matches of the season.
